Proverbs 29:18

“Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint”

I have heard this verse used for a lot of things, Building Campaigns ect… But as I study for CrossPoint this coming Monday, I believe this is going being my foundation to my “Going all the Way” conclusion. Think about it, when churches speak about purity and marriage, there is always this list of rules, and restrictions:

No sex till your married!
You can’t date him/her!

But there is no vision in that?

The reason our preaching has not taken hold on peoples lives is because we always talk about the restraint? And our talks have no vision. And you just read where there is “no vision” people cast off restraint.
People aren’t buying into these restrictions, because we haven’t set goals, and we haven’t cast vision. We have only said stop, because you are suppose to! So on Monday I am going to try to paint a clear picture through Ephesians 5: 25-33, and show the standard that was set instead of telling them to just stop. Because like them, I am so tired of walking away with more questions on how to stay pure…
